Journey Center Clubhouse Director

The Journey Center Clubhouse is seeking a full-time Clubhouse Director to lead our recovery-driven program which supports adults who experience mental health challenges.

 

The Clubhouse Director is responsible for the program quality, staff supervision, and overall coordination of the Site-Based Psychiatric Rehabilitation program. The Director maintains fidelity to Clubhouse International Standards, and fosters a safe, inclusive, recovery-oriented environment. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to work in a program that focuses on individual strengths, meaningful relationships, member leadership, employment, and the power of the Clubhouse community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and oversight of programming, staffing, workflow, and membership while collaborating with CHAPS leadership and the Journey Center Advisory Board.
  • Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality, member-driven Clubhouse activities and services.
  • Maintain required documentation; Support quality assurance, compliance, program evaluation and ongoing program development.
  • Develop strategies to expand outreach, increase membership, and strengthen long-term member engagement while fostering meaningful member leadership and involvement in Clubhouse activities and decision-making.
  • Ensure fidelity to the Clubhouse Model including accreditation requirements, program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with community partners; represent the Clubhouse professionally and promote awareness of the Clubhouse Model.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Master’s or bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and belief in recovery as a holistic, lifelong experience for people living with serious mental illness.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build collaborative relationships with members, staff, employers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Current Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check.
