Job Summary

Create a Christ-centered environment by leading the processing team by example and performing all duties required in prepping and pricing donated items to go on sales floor.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and equip team to reveal Christ in every aspect of their job, to each other, donors, customers, and volunteers.

  • Able to perform any of the required job duties within the processing team. This includes all requirements related to prepping and pricing merchandise.

  • Train and retain processing employees

  • Ensure that daily thrift trac reports are properly filled out in a timely manner,

  • Must be able to appropriately set daily goals and plan their day according to projections/targets.

  • Review Cyfe dashboard daily to understand and communicate targets to team.

  • Maintain clean and well-organized presorting and processing area.

  • Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for processing staff.

  • Facilitate and promote and encourage positive and unified relationship between Processing, Donation/Receiving and Retail Departments.

  • Work with and effectively communicate with the Retail Manager and Donation/Receiving Manager to ensure all operational needs of the store are being met.

  • Stay up to date and well-informed with ever-changing needs and procedures given by Director.

  • Communicate efficiently and clearly with the Director on the needs and progress of the processing team.

  • Recognize the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items reaching the sales floor.

  • Train and hold staff accountable for recognizing the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items reaching the sales floor.

  • This person is responsible for directing New Life Program (NLP) clients to appropriate tasks and services in the donation center.  NLP clients must be managed closely to ensure the completion of tasks.

 

Education & Experience

Highschool diploma or GED required.

Working Conditions

Works primarily in the processing area.

 

Compensation and Benefits

$37,000 - $40,000 annually. Competitive salary wages will be commensurate with experience.
