$16.75 per hour | *$2,000 sign-on bonus
*Sign-on bonus is paid as follows: $500 at 90 days, $500 at 180 days, and $1,000 at one year.

SCHOOL-YEAR SCHEDULE WITH YEAR-ROUND PAY:
Project SOAR/ROAR is a 10-month program that follows the school calendar. You will work on days when school is in session and receive your pay throughout the year, including school breaks and summer months.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behavior Health Technician (BHT) supports children experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges at Maplewood Elementary School and Cambridge Springs Elementary School in the Penncrest School District. In this hands-on role, you will provide direct services to assigned students, follow prescribed behavioral health treatment plans, document progress, and work with the Project SOAR/ROAR team.
AS A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:
- Implement prescribed behavioral health treatment plans for students in the school setting.
- Track treatment objectives, document student responses, and communicate progress in written and verbal reports.
- Attend clinical team meetings, Family Nights, and annual SBBH trainings.
- Maintain timely, accurate case records and reports in accordance with agency policy.
- Participate in professional development, individual supervision, and peer supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, associate or bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field.
- Experience working in a child-serving system and mental health services agency preferred. Knowledge of child development and the application of Behavioral Modification that follows a plan developed from a Functional Behavioral Assessment and used by a Positive Education Program.
- Knowledge of child development encouraged.

Project SOAR/ROAR helps children in the Penncrest School District who are experiencing emotional and/ or behavioral difficulties in the school setting. The Project ROAR/SOAR team works closely with school personnel and includes master-level mental health professionals, bachelor-level mental health workers, family school coordinators, and parent liaisons.
