Starting Salary: $40,385 | *$2,000 sign-on bonus
*Sign-on bonus is paid as follows: $500 at 90 days, $500 at 180 days, and $1,000 at one year.

SCHOOL-YEAR SCHEDULE WITH YEAR-ROUND PAY:

Project SOAR/ROAR is a 10-month program that follows the school calendar. You will work on days when school is in session and receive your pay throughout the year, including school breaks and summer months.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Therapist/Behavior Consultant provides services to students at Maplewood Elementary School and Cambridge Springs Elementary School and maintains a caseload of up to 15 students. This position provides an opportunity to use clinical skills in a school-based setting while working closely with students, families, school staff, and community providers.

Responsibilities include individual and group therapy, developing treatment and behavioral plans, implementing behavioral interventions, supporting families, and providing crisis intervention. Knowledge of child development, behavioral modification, and treatment planning is required. Reliable transportation is required for travel throughout Crawford County.

AS A MOBILE THERAPIST / BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT, YOU WILL:

• Develop and implement behavioral, treatment, crisis, and transition plans for up to 15 students in collaboration with families, schools, and the treatment team.
• Provide individual therapy, psychoeducational groups, and crisis intervention.
• Maintain regular contact with students' primary caregivers through face-to-face, school/community, and telephone contacts.
• Attend and lead treatment team meetings and provide clinical guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians.
• Serve as a clinical and administrative liaison between the school district, families, and community providers.
• Collect and evaluate data and maintain accurate student behavioral health records.
• Develop program curriculum and participate in monthly Family Night psychoeducation activities.
• Complete required CANS assessment training and certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 9 graduate credits in clinical practice and completion of a clinical or mental health direct-service practicum.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working directly with clients in behavioral modification, family dynamics, or a related area.
• Reliable transportation for travel throughout Crawford County.
• Previous Mobile Therapist (MT) or Behavior Consultant (BC) experience preferred but not required.

Project SOAR/ROAR helps children in the Penncrest School District who are experiencing emotional and/ or behavioral difficulties in the school setting.
