QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in a Clinical Mental Health field.
  • Skills/Competencies: Knowledge of community-based treatment for youth with serious behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years’ proven experience providing mental health treatment required. Experience working with youth and families preferred.
  • Must complete Supervisor’s Training Course offered by Family Services of NW PA.
  • Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.

SUMMARY:

The Multisystemic Therapy (MST) and MST for Problem Sexual Behavior (MST-PSB) Supervisor is a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Professional who reports to the Vice President of Programs and functions as a member of the Management Team at Family Services of NW PA. The supervisor is based in our Erie County main office but is required to travel to Crawford and Mercer Counties regularly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision of up to 2 teams of 4 MST Therapists. This includes setting clear expectations, evaluating performance, and assisting in hiring new team members.
  • Manage all incoming referrals to ensure therapists maintain a caseload of 5-6 clients at a time.
  • May need to carry a caseload of 1-2 clients, each being seen multiple times per week. This includes providing 24/7 on-call crisis services to assigned caseload.
  • Facilitate weekly group supervision and individual supervision of MST Therapists. This includes travelling to office in Crawford and Mercer Counties at least once a week.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, public funding sources, and referral sources to promote MST.
  • Actively collaborate with the MST expert around implementation of MST and ensure continued development of own clinical skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
