As the Office Coordinator, you will:

  • Support operations and community engagement initiatives of the CIH to create a welcoming and productive environment.  Serve as an attentive frontline professional for community members and other stakeholders while maintaining office services, website and social media upkeep, regular communications with internal and external partners, project/program workflows, and related tasks.

  • Provide daily operational support to the CIH including: process routine correspondence, and incoming / outgoing email; monitor and maintain the budget / purchasing reconciliations; maintain confidential office files; support the drafting and delivery of reports, contracts, memos, newsletters and other communications.  Manage the Hub’s impact team schedules as needed. Prepare meeting minutes, reports, and procure supporting materials as needed.

  • Maintain duties as the primary scheduler and event planner for a variety of meetings, appointments, and on and off-campus events. Coordinate catering needs, travel plans, and purchasing for CIH colleagues.  Assist with the convening of CIH Impact Teams.

  • Be the primary point of contact for the community-based research (CBR) program.  Tasks include (but not limited to): communicating with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with project selection and student recruitment, supporting trainings and celebrations, student cohort support and special event planning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Entry level position
  • 1 – 3 years experience preferred

Required Knowledge of

  • Knowledge of office administration inclusive of scheduling tools and PC software suites such as Microsoft Office and Google for Education. 
  • Knowledge of effective communications;
  • Knowledge of or basic familiarity with college dynamics is a plus.  
  • Knowledge or basic familiarity with website management and updates.

Required Skills and abilities

  • Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills; 
  • Demonstrated oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated computer skills inclusive of word processing, database management, and scheduling software. 
  • Demonstrated project management and event planning skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening abilities; 
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible as is needed within a college campus environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively by anticipating needs and requirements when possible.

YOUR COMPENSATION

New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.

The expected starting range for this position is $19.23. This is an hourly non-exempt position.
