The Program Specialist must have one of the following groups of qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, OR,
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism; OR,
- An Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Experience in management, policy development and with state regulatory bodies.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others.
- Working knowledge of computer software applications to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet and other agency related applications.
