Student Refocus Specialist

Play a vital role in supporting students! Assist students with emotion regulation, model and impart positive social behaviors, and provide targeted academic support as needed. This position is dedicated to fostering healthy peer relationships and encouraging constructive interactions through both structured lessons and informal guidance. Minimum entry rate: $16.85/hour, with adjustment for related experience.

What you will do:

• Create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment that serves as a resource for high school students in need of behavioral or emotional redirection.
• Provide informal one-on-one counseling and facilitate peer conflict resolution to promote emotional well-being and interpersonal growth.
• Assist students with academic tasks and help them re-engage with classroom expectations through behavior-focused interventions.
• Maintain accurate behavior records and complete all required documentation in accordance with school district policies.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate instructional and clinical skills to meet the diversified needs of students and provide them with activities for special treatment needs. The successful candidate will possess leadership experience, effective conflict resolution skills, experience in an educational setting and conducting refocus sessions with students. Experience with high school students preferred.

SCHEDULE: School year, Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., 40 hours/week,

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in social services or related field required; a minimum of two years of prior related experience preferred

• 21 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain clean clearance for FBI Fingerprints, Child Abuse, and PA Criminal History
• Official transcripts and diploma to verify educational level.
