GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week position.  The Consumer Recovery Center Team Leader works closely with the MHA Operations Manager.  He/She co-ordinates and monitors all activities related to the day-to-day operations of the consumer center.  The Center Team Leader is responsible for the scheduling and supervision of Center Team Members.  The Team Leader monitors and oversees all operations.  The Center Team Leader is responsible for maintaining all record keeping associated with the operation of the Consumer Recovery Center.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Supervise and schedule Consumer Recovery staff, assigning specific job responsibilities
    to each staff member.
  2. Meet regularly with center team staff individually for supervision.
  3. Meet regularly with the Consumer Recovery staff as a group to build teamwork skills,
    define operations procedures and identify needed staff training.
  4. Monitor the maintenance of accurate daily, monthly, and quarterly tracking of
    Consumer Recovery Center participation.
  5. Prepare monthly Operations Reports.
  6. Monitor the operation of    
  7. Develop, supervise and monitor all activities that take place in the Consumer Recovery Center.
    Assists in coordination of the development of new activities generated through
    consumer interest.
  8. Act as a resource to consumer members, referring both internally and to resources
    in the community.
  9. Organize and maintain all records connected to the Consumer Recovery Center.
  10. Supervise and assist in designing procedures for the appropriate use and care of the
    material resources available to members who participate in the Consumer Center
        
  11. Present a positive image internally and in the community.
  12. Be a good role model for center staff and consumer members.
  13. Set professional boundaries, communicate clearly and handle conflict in a respectful
     yet assertive manner.
  14. Interview, hire, and train new staff in the Consumer Recovery Center.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience in supervision and/or handling personnel matters.
  3. Knowledge of mental diagnoses.
  4. Knowledge of consumer empowerment
  5. Knowledge of the Mission, Vision and Values of the Mental Health Association.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively. Assertive communication skills.
  7. Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. Computer skills.
  9. Subscribe to ethical standards of confidentiality.
  10. Able to function autonomously to make crucial decisions.
  11. Knowledge of internal resources as well as mental health resources in the community.
  12. Valid PA Drivers license preferred.
  13. Act 33/34 and 151 Clearances.
