Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and alignment with our mission. This includes budget planning, financial forecasting, cash flow management, grants administration, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership to support organizational growth and impact
- Develop and oversee annual budgeting and long-term financial planning
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and risk management
- Supervise accounting, audit, and treasury functions
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial accountability
- Manage government and private grants, including reporting and compliance
- Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors and stakeholders
- Lead and mentor finance staff and promote a culture of fiscal responsibility
- Foster an inclusive, supportive team culture where open communication about work-life balance is encouraged and respected.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (minimum 5–7 years) in financial leadership, preferably in the nonprofit sector
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (CPA, MBA, or equivalent strongly preferred)
- Deep knowledge of nonprofit financial management, fund accounting, and GAAP
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders
