Unit Supervisor

Saint Mary’s Home of Erie is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community that serves primarily seniors and their families on a beautiful 34-acre campus that is home to Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge and the Carriage Homes at Asbury Ridge. 

Among other duties, the Unit Supervisor will:

• Plan, organize, guide, and supervise activities of team members.
• Analyze and evaluate nursing needs of residents and families.
• Give resident care requiring expert observational, manual, or judgmental skills.
• Assist and maintain cooperative relationships with members of health team and their activities.
• Assist in developing unit personnel.
• Supervise completion of all reports and provide documentation.
• Manage the Unit and Unit Activities and attend meetings.
• Responsible for coordination of resident assessment instrument.
• Provide for staffing.
  1. Determine needs for staffing and discuss and review these needs with the Director of Nursing.
  2. Discuss and review with Director of Nursing requests for additional personnel.
  3. Assume responsibility for replacing personnel who have called in ill or for any personal home emergency.
