JOB TITLE: Assistant Director of Facilities Management

REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology, Safety, and Facilities
SUPERVISES: NPRC Proctors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree in Facilities Management or Business Administration and 2 years’ experience or
- High School Diploma or equivalent and
- Five years’ experience in a facilities management role or similar field; four years in management or leadership role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or similar
field
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships
- Must be open to travelling to NPRC Instructional Locations, Workforce Development Locations, and Administration Centers
- Experience working with lease agreements, contracts, building management organizations, and external contractors
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
POSITION SUMMARY:
The incumbent functions as part of a team that supervises proctors and coordinates, as directed, facilities related communications, functions, and processes for all NPRC Locations, including Instructional Locations and Sites, Workforce Development Locations, and Administrative Locations.
The incumbent is expected to routinely think outside the box to solve problems quickly; provide excellent customer service; has excellent conflict resolution and communication skills; and is organized, reliable, and self-directed. This position works collaboratively with the Academic, Student Services, and Workforce Development personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adherence to college philosophy/mission statement
- Responsible for recruitment and hiring of proctors
- Facilitate collection of proctor agreements
- Develop and implement training and evaluation processes for proctors
- Organize and maintain records related to NPRC locations, including, but not limited to, site agreements, site access, and safety procedures
- Manage relationships with stakeholders involved in delivery of instruction
- Provide logistical class delivery support to proctors and students
- Facilitate, as needed, identification and selection of new NPRC locations
and sites
- Provide guidance to operations on maintenance tasks, facility decisions, as well as vendor contact and oversight, and emergency procedures
- Coordinate and manage college-wide inventory and asset control programs
- Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver’s License and consistent access to a vehicle or other reliable means of transportation

- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History Record Check
- Federal Criminal History Background Check
- Training Certificate - Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania

WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
- Office Location: TBD within NPRC service region
- Work hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Notwithstanding the office hours, all salaried employees are expected to work a minimum of 37 hours per week.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Some travel required.
