SUMMARY:  The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist, acting in a professional and confidential manner, performs Human Resources related duties and carries out responsibilities in functional areas to include regulatory compliance, onboarding, employment verification, performance management, and employee relations. Assists Recruiting Development Coordinator with internal job application tracking and references, whenever necessary. Completes and tracks all aspects of onboarding from job offer to 30 day compliance. Assures employment related recordkeeping and file maintenance is compliant with applicable legal requirements. Assists the Employee Relations Manager with other technical and professional duties as requested pertaining to employee support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and at least one year of related experience. An Associate Degree with at least two years of Human Resources experience or having a high school diploma or GED with five or more years of Human Resources experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Basic knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning human resource administration.
  3. Ability to read, interpret and apply human resources guidelines and polices, as well as, rules, regulations, contracts and other controlling procedures.
  4. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, department heads, employees, and members of the general public.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others in sensitive and confidential situations.
  6. Working knowledge of computer software applications to include Microsoft office and other business and human resources related applications.
