QUALIFICATIONS: The Behavior Support Specialist will have a Master’s Degree in Human Services (or a closely related field). A minimum of 3 years of experience with behavioral assessments and writing behavioral plans is required.

In addition, the qualified candidate must have demonstrated:
1. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, department heads, employees, and members of the general public.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others in sensitive and confidential situations.
3. Working knowledge of computer software applications to include Microsoft Office and other business-related applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Behavioral Specialist, acting in a professional manner, including their appearance and communication, is responsible for conducting behavior assessments, maintaining the schedule for program reviews, updating schedules, and ISP reports in collaboration with supervisors for agency consumers. The Behavior Specialist provides support for all behavior programs, supplies and documentation needed for individuals with behaviors in addition to the coordination of committees listed hereinafter.
