As Finance Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of all financial accounts for the parish, including the processing of payables and income, and the reconciliation of all accounts.  The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage complex accounting systems and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including the Parish Finance Council and the Parish Pastor. 

Must be proficient in GAAP, QuickBooks, and Excel and willing to learn other programs as needed.  Related degree or equivalent experience required.

Duties

• Pay and record invoices/bills.
• Prepare all deposits and deliver to bank.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and check run and distribute to Pastor and Finance Council Moderator.
• In co-ordination with the Parish Finance Council, prepare the annual budget and annual report to the Diocese.
• Maintain and balance multiple checking and investment accounts. Deposit or transfer funds between accounts as needed based on expenditures and donations.
• Manage payroll including recording of time sheets in payroll system and QuickBooks.
• Record weekly offertory from physical donations and online giving and deposit in appropriate accounts.
• Record Catholic Service Appeal donations and other special donations and deposit in appropriate accounts.
• Manage and record Parish payments to the Diocese
• Provide support and prepare any reports requested by the Parish Finance Council.
• Other duties as assigned.
