EVENT COORDINATOR

 

Part-time, 25 hours per week. $15/hour. Posted October 29, 2024

 

The Erie Art Museum complex consists of six gallery spaces. Some are sought after as event spaces for meetings, weddings, and receptions. The Event Coordinator manages external rental inquiries and internal details related to facilities management and personnel requirements.

 

The hours for this position depend on the events calendar and will include evening and weekend hours. This position reports to the Erie Art Museum Development Director.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate and manage all internal and external event rental needs for corporate events, weddings, small rentals, meetings, etc.

 

  • Respond to inquiries promptly
  • Tour potential clients
  • Create contracts and invoices
  • Detail events

 

  • Coordinate aspects for internal event usage, including communication with vendors (catering, rental equipment, and staff).
  • Knowledge of standard A/V requirements (screen, PowerPoint, microphone, etc).
  • Maintain inventory of tables, chairs, linens, alcohol and liquor, mixers, etc.
  • Develop relationships with local event rental facilities
  • Manage Gallery Night Coordination related to participant information (Quarterly)
  • Support and contribute to positive staff collaboration, visitor services, safe and sustainable operations, and other duties as assigned.
  • RAMP Certification preferred  (Responsible Alcohol Management Program)
