Community Shelter Services is actively looking for an Emergency Shelter Manager for our homeless shelter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data collection, case management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
-Supervise staff, oversee work assignments, and create bi-weekly schedule
-Responsible for the security and care for emergency shelter residents and OCY apartment
-Conduct intakes for new arrivals in accordance's to HIPPA and shelter rules/policies
-Completing progress and outcome documentation for shelter residents upon departure
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in need
- Conduct case management for residents
- Pass medication as needed, following proper protocols and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations involved in emergency response efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Human Services and/or Social Work)
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills
- Proficient in data entry and file management
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations
Must have Act 33 & 34 Clearances
