POSITION:    Director of Finance

DEPT:   Administration

CLASS:   Full Time, Exempt

STARTING WAGE:   $60,000

HOURS:                                Varied

REQUIREMENTS:                         

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a concentration in IT or MIS related education preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a Management or a Health Care environment.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing and cost reporting.
  • Solid financial, analytical, and technical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Consistently demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and ethics.
  • Self-motivated and eager to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate plans into action.
  • Ability to readily adapt to and manage change.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

 

POSITION INVOLVES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Providing strategic leadership for all financial aspects of the Village.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the accounting department, 3rd party billing and cost reporting, payroll, accounts receivable, and overseeing investments.
  • Generating monthly operational and board level reports, creating budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • Help identify and drive cost efficiencies and guide management.
  • Works closely with accounting and IT staff to resolve any system issue or implement any required changes to facilitate accurate and timely billing.
  • Utilizing technology to automate Village department workflows.
