Job TITLE: SUMMER PROGRAM ASSISTANT GROUP SUPERVISOR
Reports to: SUMMER PROGRAM GROUP SUPERVISOR
position status: PART-TIME and Non-exempt
RATE: $20 PER HOUR
Position Summary:
The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring a positive and safe environment for the summer program.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain all necessary clearances to work in schools
An Assistant Group Supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:
- A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours form an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
- A high school diploma or a general education development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training
- A high school diploma or a general education development certificate, 15 credit hours form an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children
- A high school diploma or general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum
- A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and 2 year’s experience with children
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the Group Supervisor, this position will be responsible for assuming their duties and ensuring the continued operation and smooth functioning of the summer program
- Assisting in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the group supervisor
- Coordinating daily activities and supervising aides in the absence of the group supervisor

- Must demonstrate adherence to the highest moral standards at all times
Work Environment: This job operates in a school. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods.
